These product groups cover a range of both polymer and bio-degradable based products which are curated in our advanced manufacturing plants located across three factories in Sri Lanka. Our plants are equipped with an innovation center where our team invests time in researching and developing new products. History
It all started when two brothers envisioned and acted upon an opportunity they saw in the polymer and packaging industry. It always astonished Shamin and Nalin, on how the industry operated, its invigorating nature, the impact it has on the economy, and how much more can be done to make it sustainable and better for the future ahead. And henceforth the two brothers at a young age invested in the company, beginning a journey of excellence. It was over 25 years back when our founder Shamin Perera embarked on this entrepreneurial journey and bid farewell to a leading conglomerate in Sri Lanka to pursue his dreams. He invested months researching and studying the various solutions and business models that were emerging globally in the manufacturing space, from its humble beginning with a workforce of just 4 individuals, it wasn’t long before World Polybags International (Pvt) Ltd. became Sri Lanka's Leading polymer manufacturing firm reaching exponential growth over the years.
